Avoidance. If the displacer beast is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to only take half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails. Displacement. Whenever the displacer beast moves, it projects a magical illusion that appears within 40 feet of its pre-move location. A displacer beast can only maintain 1 illusion at a time. Each time a creature targets it with an attack, roll a d6 to determine whether the attack instead targets the illusion. On a roll of 4 or higher, change the attack's target to the illusion. If an attack hits a illusion, the illusion is destroyed. The illusion shares the displacer beast's AC. An illusion can be destroyed only by an attack that hits it. It ignores all other damage and effects. Pounce. If the displacer beast moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the displacer beast can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action. Fey Beast Animosity. Displacer beasts have a unique hatred for blink dogs. If a blink dog is within 150ft of a displacer beast when it creates an illusion, both creatures take 2 damage. If a blink dog within 150ft of a displacer beast uses its teleport, both creatures take 2 damage. Feline Leap. Displacer Beasts are known to leap 20 feet from a stand-still. With a 10-foot running start, a displacer can long jump up to 40 feet.
Multiattack. The displacer beast makes two attacks with its tentacles. Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 1d6+4 bludgeoning damage plus 3 1d6 piercing damage. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 1d10+3 piercing damage. Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 1d8+3 slashing damage.
