Carrion Scrappers rely on their keen senses and stealth to approach potential food sources undetected. When they encounter a viable target, they typically use their Pack Tactics to overwhelm it, coordinating their attacks to bring it down swiftly. They prefer to attack from the shadows or from behind obstacles, utilizing their environment to gain an advantage. If threatened or outnumbered, they will attempt to surround their target, taking turns to dart in and out of reach to inflict wounds and wear their prey down. In the face of strong resistance, they are quick to retreat, regrouping and waiting for a more opportune moment to strike again. This combination of cautious approach, opportunistic strikes, and pack coordination makes them a persistent and dangerous foe in the Corpse Pit.
Carrion Scrappers are typically found in the upper levels of the Corpse Pit, where the environment is a mix of crumbling stone structures and narrow, winding passages. These levels often serve as the final resting place for many prisoners, providing the Scrappers with a plentiful supply of carrion. They thrive in dark, damp areas such as abandoned tunnels, collapsed chambers, and the outskirts of makeshift camps where refuse and remains are abundant. Their keen sense of smell and ability to move stealthily make them well-suited to navigating these treacherous environments, often lurking in the shadows and scavenging for food. While they prefer areas with ample hiding spots and easy access to carrion, they can occasionally be found near the edges of settlements, drawn by the scent of death and decay.
