Spellcasting. The archon casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 14, +6 spell attack bonus):

  • At will: detect evil and good
  • 1/day each: aid, continual flame


Aura of Menace. As long as the archon doesn't have the incapacitated condition, each creature of the archon's choice that starts its turn within 20 feet of the archon must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature has the frightened condition until the start of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature is immune to all archons' Aura of Menace for 24 hours.

Magic Resistance. The archon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The archon makes three melee weapon attacks or two ranged weapon attacks.

Shining Sword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, 5' reach, one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) radiant damage.

Explosive Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 150'/600', one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) piercing. Hit or miss, the arrow then explodes. The target and each creature within 5' of it must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 7 (2d6) fire damage. Any flammable objects not being warn or carried within the radius are set on fire.

Teleport. The archon teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, to an unoccupied space it can see within 120 feet of itself.

Bonus Actions

Divine Smite (3/Day). When the archon hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, the target receives an additional 9 (2d8) radiant damage. If the target is an undead or a fiend, it receives an additional 1d8, for a total of 13 (3d8) radiant damage.
